Name: Michael Strickland Home: Denver, CO Where I'm Traveling Next: Scotland Bio: More than anything else, I love to travel. I got the bug early in life, when I roamed across the United States in my grandparents' RV. In high school, I spent a year in Honduras as an exchange student, then "saw the world" from the deck of a U.S. Navy warship. I've walked the streets of Pompeii, stood in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, and gazed upon the Great Buddha. Currently, I'm exploring the watery two-thirds of the planet. • My Travel Journals • Contact Info

Friday travel photo
Washington, D.C. Metro (Court House station in Arlington, VA)
We took a family trip to DC last Thanksgiving. We stayed near Falls Church, VA and took the Metro into town. Very convenient and easy. One tip, if you buy a weekly pass (which I recommend for the tremendous savings), be sure to keep it away from magnets, even a weak magnetic field will kill the stripe and you will have get a new card (which entails queues and forms).
